This Guy Probably Stole Your Cell Phone at Coachella

- A man from NY was arrested for allegedly stealing over 100 cellphones at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival after concertgoers located him using "Find My Phone" tracking style apps.

As Consequence of Sound points out, the Indio Police Department said that a group of users were able to locate Henao on the festival grounds by using Find My iPhone. The victims responsibly worked with security and they detained the suspect until law enforcement arrived.

He was subsequently arrested by police who found more than 100 cellphones in his backpack, officials said. Some of the phones are still waiting to be reunited with their owners in Coachella's lost and found (which is online and glorious). On the first Friday of Coachella, ordinary festivalgoers became amateur detectives after their cell phones were stolen. He's since been released, though is facing charges for grand theft and receiving stolen property.

He is scheduled to appear in court May 26.

While the insanely popular music festival draws huge crowds due to it's diverse line-ups, it also draws those looking to make some less-than-honest cash. If you are a victim of pickpocketing and your ID, passport and credit cards are spread out, you will not lose everything in one go.
