Apple Takes On Distracted Driving With New Feature

Apple already controls your life, now HomePod wants your home

Even though Apple has slowly and perhaps reluctantly increased the available storage tiers on the iPhone, running out of storage space remains a frustrating reality that many users still have to contend with. While the iPhone 5 and 5c are slow by modern standards, the issue isn't RAM or raw performance, it's the ability (or lack thereof) to run 64-bit apps and programs.

Apple has redesigned the App Store in iOS 11 and it is also bringing in a revamped Podcasts app.

Apple has also introduced screen recording in iOS 11 which will essentially allow users to record their iPhones screen. The new 10.5-inch model reduces the borders by almost 40 percent to fit into an incredibly compact package that still weighs just one pound.

Apple's new iPhone has a function which silences notifications and turns off the iPhone screen when it detects a user is driving. Many updates found in the Photos app in iOS 11 correlates to the Google Photos platform, which is separate from its Android operating system. Apple could also let the iPhone's NFC chip support transit passes or workplace keycards. In fact, Apple showcased VR demos using the MacBook with some external graphics support, and HTC Vive hardware.

Another interesting rumor is associated with iPad Pro 10.5.

However, Google announced at I/O, its Project Treble initiative, which is meant to make Android update times more efficient for OEMs, by separating stock Android updates from customizations released by manufacturers.

Mind you, this isn't the only lossless file format to operate using Apple's services.

The new "Do Not Disturb While Driving" feature will go into effect six months after Bethany and James Modisette sued Apple for failing to provide the iPhone safety feature that it patented in 2014.

On the software side, upgrades made to Apple's iOS mobile operating system seem to be the real showstoppers, with the release of iOS 11 (pictured above).

Where possible we will compare iOS 11 to iOS 10 so you know what is changing when you upgrade.

To join users will have to become a member of Apple' s beta software programme, which is designed for developers. Apple also announced a new macOS dubbed "High Sierra" that should please Mac users on both the professional and consumer side. The devices are available to pre-order today and will start shipping next week.
