Cavs the champs but Warriors the favorites in the NBA Finals

Not that anyone expected any different. "I'm trying to do other things other than just scoring so I can help my team put us in the best situations to win", Curry said.

"As I sit here on the eve of one of the greatest sporting events that we have in sports, race and what's going on [in America] comes again", he said.

Heading into these Finals, the Warriors have more pressure to win than previous year.

"I don't really carry it with me", he said. "I think the world has been waiting for this to finally get here".

While saying his two sons, ages 9 and 12, love life and have open minds, James added, "at the end of the day, they're going to have to walk their own path".

The Warriors are favored, after all, just as they were a year ago. He'll not only guard LeBron James during this series, he'll be charged in spots with keeping ball-handling magician Kyrie Irving in front of him. "Them coming off the championship and being able to be in position to win - everybody doesn't get the same opportunity". Don't let it overtake what's at stake, but you can feel a little redemption if you want. That's because Kevin Durant, a former MVP, joined the Warriors who had won 73 games last season and who had taken the Cavs to seven games.

James will be gunning for his second straight title with Cleveland, which came after having won a pair of titles with the Miami Heat. Durant has been terrific in his first postseason with the Warriors, averaging 25.2 points on 55.6 percent shooting.

But let's also remember: he's still shooting 36 percent from three in the playoffs this year - it's not like he's bad, he's just not as good as we've come to expect. His coach that year was Mike Brown, who has served as acting coach for the Warriors while Steve Kerr is out following complications from back surgery. According to Shelburne and Haynes, Durant will likely sign another two-year deal with a player opt-out - like LeBron James did with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"We're always on our phones", Love said.

We just hope no injuries, suspensions or any outside factors will take place and that the both teams will enter this competition in their best mood.

The 72-win Warriors added superstar Kevin Durant to their already talented core. "It's hard to imagine either team not being the heavy favorite next year going into their respective conferences".

The one thing the two teams have in common?

"I can't be home to see my boys right now", James said. But if we move the basketball and move our bodies, I think anybody can find a crack in the defense or some space to make a shot. Obviously shots are falling. The Warriors were up 3-1 in 2016 before Draymond Green was suspended for Game 5. Curry is averaging 28.6 points in the playoffs and looks like a different player than the one who had a knee injury past year. Love has averaged a quiet 13.8 points in the postseason but should be eager to pick it up against a Celtics team that knocked him out of the 2015 playoffs when he became tangled with Olynyk and dislocated his shoulder.
